Fun & Gaiety during Diwali and Kali Puja

This is a time of the year when the entire city comes to life with sparkling and colourful lights , people in colourful dresses lined up blasting fire crackers and restaurants overcrowded with the gourmet flowing all over . It was a rare treat to attend the Kali Puja of my father's friend Mr Sadhu , a tax consultant in Salt Lake . Apart from the Puja of the deity as displayed below , there was a lovely platter of vegetarian food - puris , subjis , paneers and a wonderful collection of sweets . Wish this activity continues , as it's a rare display of camraderie, devotion and cuisine worth remembering ....
