Personal Diary

29th May, 2022

I normally begin the day by uttering the name of the Lord . These are some of the mantras dedicated to Lord Krishna. After swallowing in my thyroid medicines I begin my walk on my driveway. There is a gentle light breeze flowing and green trees abound. I now turn into my favourite past time. These are a lovely collection of books in pdf format which I transfer into my Voice Aloud Reader.

As the reader is set on I synchronize it into my walk which also has a step counting software. This morning I was carried away by George Orwell's Down and Out. His life in Paris and the trouble he took to get acquainted to the environment and to take up the job as a cleaner in a hotel. His magical words and the living description of Paris takes me into a different world and I forget the ticking clock and the steps we cross as I look into the Samsung app which tells me how many calories I have brushed aside. Today I was a also reading a book Happiness Success . It is a research on positive psychology and how social creatures both do better in health  and their worklife , personal lives too.

During the course of the day I caught up reading some great essays and short stories . Some short stories were award winning this year .

Elated also by the visit of my sister in law , her kid and her parents. Always a delight to have relatives over and going out for lunch with them. This was a cool Chinese fare and the chicken bough was a steal.

I need to pack my bag too for the upcoming trip to Varanasi over the weekend.

Today is my nephew's birthday too and we shall be out for dinner tonite.
