Popular Applications of Artificial Intelligence

AI is relevant to any intellectual task. [204]  Modern artificial intelligence techniques are pervasive and are too numerous to list here. Frequently, when a technique reaches mainstream use, it is no longer considered artificial intelligence; this phenomenon is described as the  AI effect . [205] High-profile examples of AI include autonomous vehicles (such as  drones  and  self-driving cars ), medical diagnosis, creating art (such as poetry), proving mathematical theorems, playing games (such as Chess or Go), search engines (such as  Google search ), online assistants (such as  Siri ), image recognition in photographs, spam filtering, prediction of judicial decisions [206]  and targeting online advertisements. [204] [207] [208] With social media sites overtaking TV as a source for news for young people and news organisations increasingly reliant on social media platforms for generating distribution, [209]  major publishers now use art...

Diffusion confusion: do secondary lines devalue luxury brands?

Marc by Marc Jacobs, the more affordable women’s contemporary fashion line from the luxury, trendsetting fashion designer, launched in 2001 to great fanfare. Over the past decade, you’d have to be living under the biggest fashion rock to have missed its presence amongst the millennial tastemakers. And yet surprisingly, last spring the brand was shuttered. What happened? Lower-priced secondary labels, called “diffusion lines” in the fashion industry, are often launched by a premium namesake product line to attract a broader range of customers with a more affordable price. The discontinuation of Marc by Marc Jacobs (MBMJ), and its absorption into the primary Marc Jacobs line, paints a cautionary tale of how diffusion lines can harm a brand’s equity. Even Pantene has confused consumers with multiple products beneath the same umbrella  http://www.brandunion.com/insight/2016-05-31/4835/diffusion-confusion-do-secondary-lines-devalue-luxury-brands

How to Market Your Multi-Product Brand

If you’re marketing at a business with multiple products, then you may often run into issues of conflicting goals and agendas. Different product teams might be competing for resources, or could be operating separately from the other teams or divisions. The problem is that while you clearly see how these products are connected, your customers don’t   For example, if you’re a consumer packaged goods company (CPG), the brand managers for each of your products are probably working with multiple agencies – one in charge of creative, another managing your go-to-market strategy, another for press releases (note: all of these agencies are responsible for regularly wining and dining you). So how can you help your buyers see your company as a single, unified brand? And how can you market multiple products without diluting your message, or overwhelming your audience? https://blog.marketo.com/2014/09/marketing-your-multi-product-or-multi-division-brand.html

8 secrets to strengthening your business

http://www.feedspot.com/folder/5RXGs2Aa Imagine with me for a minute you’ve joined the circus. The crowd is cheering, the lions are roaring, and the ringmaster has just announced that it’s time for you to walk the tightrope. Growing a company is much like the balancing act of a circus performer. You have to walk a thin line of incoming orders and sales with cash flow, accounts payable, lines of credit, and (most frightening of all) accounts receivable—all without losing your balance. Unfortunately, unlike the acrobat in the circus, your business doesn’t always have a safety net for you to fall into. I’ve helped 77 businesses increase profit and add growth for the past 52 years. All of these businesses were in a position to grow, but imploded because they weren’t prepared for growth—and unprepared growth can be a “company killer.” Here are my 8 secrets of growing a company and increasing profitability: 1. The entire team must know all the information about the business, inclu...

Diwali is considered as the Festival of Lights in India & symbolizes the victory of good over evil . Its marked by lighting lamps , diyas as they call it in India and backed up by family get togethers , exchange of pleasantries and sweetmeats . In Bengal the worship of Goddess Kali takes place while Goddess Lakshmi the Goddess of Wealth is also worshipped that night especially by the business community . Owing to pollution reasons the High Court of Delhi banned the use of firecrackers this year in Delhi. It created many a heartbburn as it was construed as a means to snub Hinduism and favour the minority community . In Kolkata a deep depression marked an end to the fun and gaiety. A deep depression over coastal Orissa ran into Kolkata and adjoining areas with wind speeds exceeding 40kmph.Despite a 4 day weekend , Wednesday and Thursday got completely wiped out by the rains and neither did candles or diays survive the winds. The only hope was Chinese lights and lanterns. Children...
