Staying fresh with low hours of sleep

Getting enough sleep is crucial for our physical and mental health, but there are times when we may have to function on low hours of sleep. Here are some tips on how to stay fresh with low hours of sleep: Stay hydrated: Dehydration can make you feel tired and sluggish. Drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep yourself hydrated and alert. Eat a balanced diet: Eating a balanced diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein can help keep your energy levels up and improve your mood. Take short naps: Taking short naps (10-20 minutes) can help you feel refreshed and recharged. However, avoid taking long naps as this can disrupt your sleep cycle and make it harder to fall asleep at night. Get moving: Regular physical activity can help boost your energy levels and improve your mood. Even a short walk or some stretching exercises can help. Avoid caffeine and alcohol: While caffeine can help you stay awake in the short term, it can disrupt your sleep cycle ...

Customer Retention during a downturn

Growing sales during a downtrend can be a challenging task, but here are some strategies that you can implement to help improve your sales: Review your sales strategy: Revisit your sales strategy and identify areas where you can make changes. Look at your product or service offering, your target market, your pricing strategy, and your sales approach to see if there are areas where you can make adjustments. Focus on customer retention: It can be more expensive to acquire new customers during a downturn. Instead, focus on retaining your existing customers by providing exceptional customer service and offering promotions or discounts to incentivize them to continue doing business with you. Increase your marketing efforts: Invest in targeted marketing campaigns to reach your target market. Consider using digital marketing channels such as social media, email marketing, and search engine optimization to reach your audience. Diversify your product or service offering: Consider expanding...

This can help relieve pain and reduce swelling. Use over-the-counter pain relief medication: Over-the-counter pain relievers such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen can help relieve the pain and reduce inflammation. Rules for sustaining peak performance as we grow older

New research suggests we can sustain peak performance longer than previously believed. Key skills like critical thinking and creativity can be improved in later life. Search out ways to combine multiple training requirements into a single activity. From the book GNAR COUNTRY by Steven Kotler. Copyright © 2023 by Steven Kotler. Published by Harper Wave, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers. Reprinted by permission. Recent discoveries in embodied cognition, flow science, and network neuroscience have revolutionized how we think about human learning. On paper, these discoveries “should” allow older athletes to progress in supposedly “impossible” activities like park skiing. To see if theory worked in practice, I put these ideas to the test on the ski hill, conducting my own ass-on-the-line experiment in applied neuroscience and later-in-life skill acquisition — aka I tried to teach this old dog some new tricks.  Over the past decade, scientists have learn...

Life Unfolding

An amusing thing happened. I got an interview call from Cacutta when I was posted in Delhi. I could not make much out of the role but being away from my mother city , I was inspired by my mother to fly down to Calcutta and have some sumptuous food as I had not been home for long and I had recently recovered from almost a life threatening battle with diarrhoea after consuming fruit juice from a local fruitstall in South Delhi while on a market visit . As the flight fare was being reimbursed , I decided to take a hop down to Calcutta .  The call was from a company called the Duncans Group. I was always starry eyed about the colonial companies in Calcutta . They covered industries from tea to jute to mining. Many of you may be familiar with the boxwallah culture. This involved doing business in monopoly areas , having a critical competitive advantage in the industry. It involved focused paperwork and completing work within a scheduled work hour , maintaining discipline in the o...

How To Get Wholesale Stockists (In 6 Simple Steps)

https://www.catherinelangman.com/how-to-get-wholesale-stockists-in-6-simple-steps/ Are you ready to find wholesale stockists for your products? Or a product designer, brand owner or distributor considering taking the plunge into wholesale? I don’t know about you, but when I first got into the business of wholesale, I did question the logic of selling my products at such a reduced price. It does seem more profitable to sell at full price direct to the consumer, right? But, selling wholesale to other retailers (both online and bricks ‘n mortar) can be very lucrative if you get it right. Build brand awareness (aka become well known!) Building your business and brand online means building an audience, attracting customers, one at a time. Sure you can use technology and paid traffic to speed this up a bit. But stocking into a bunch of other retail stores is a sure-fire way to become instantly better known. All of a sudden your ideal customers are seeing your brand all ove...
