Irresistible tribute to Sudhangshu Vats

 Sudhanshu was my direct line manager when I was Marketing Manager HHC at Hindustan Unilever. I learned a lot from him thanks to continuous access and On the Job interactions.

He is an exceptional manager and an inspiring boss in more ways than one. He uses his two eyes well – An eye for the big picture and the other for detail !

He has enormous intellectual capacity coupled with the ability to work for long periods almost continually (if required).

His will and charm marks him out as a person to whom talent gravitates. He has a range of intellectual ability and his power of concentration is as enormous as his memory for detail and facts. In terms of arithmetical computation and analysis, at times, an interaction with him felt like chasing an F-16.

Most importantly, he truly believes in delegation . He has a human touch that inspires the team and his unfailing courtesy (extending to appointments management, email etiquette etc) is inspiring. He also calls a spade a spade , no matter who the interlocutor may be.

A marathon runner who likes to run it like a 100 meters dash.
